Your vacation begins in Porto, one of the oldest cities in Europe and the center of Port Wine. You will have a private tour, a welcome dinner, and a Fado Dance Show here. Then, the next day, you are off to the Douro Valley for wine tastings, lunch, and a private River Cruise where you can admire the terrace landscapes along the Douro River. After our time in Porto, I arranged a private shuttle to drive us to Lisbon, but I added two stops along the way. The famous city of Coimbra has its iconic UNESCO Heritage University and Obidos, surrounded by 14th-century medieval walls.
When we are in Lisbon, you will meet one of my favorite Portuguese guides, Pat, who has won many awards. Pat gives her guests a perspective of Lisbon from an insider's eye. The following day, you are off to Sintra, with its’ famous Pena Palace, and then on the final day in Lisbon, you will have a cooking class in the morning and the afternoon free to shop for souvenirs and enjoy your last day in Lisbon.
